Breast Massage The Spurgeon MethodTherapeutic breast massage can help to maintain breast health through moving congestion and circulating lymph, as well as familiarizing you with the landscapes of your own breasts through the practice of self-care. It can also be an invaluable tool in preparing for lactation, and working through challenges that may occur while breastfeeding. Post-surgical issues can be addressed in women who have undergone breast augmentation, reconstruction, explant, lumpectomy and mastectomy. Working through adhesions, increasing mobility, and addressing scars can be invaluable in healing from these procedures. Pre-surgical massage can also be beneficial before certain procedures.

Notably, breast massage has been found to be an effective means of flushing toxins from the body, through the lymphatic system, which may decrease the likelihood of breast cancer. Increasing circulation to the breasts is also helpful in maintaining shape and tone, keeping the breast tissue healthy and nourished. It can help to break up benign cysts, and alleviate pain and achiness, both chronic and acute. The protocol for the Spurgeon Method of Breast Massage™ involves bodywork to the back, neck, shoulders, and pectoralis muscles, as well as to the actual breasts.

Miriamah trained with Sallie Spurgeon in 2019, just 7 weeks after having experienced a second breast surgery, herself. It is her hope to assist others in healing fully from these procedures (which can restrict circulation, movement, and sometimes cause debilitating symptoms), as well as to promote breast health, in general!

Your therapeutic Breast Massage session may be enhanced with Hot Stones, Aromatherapy, or Cupping add-ons.
